October 30th is an early dismissal day for students. After school Edventure is open for childcare, pre-registration is required.

Bus 163 will run in the morning but NOT the afternoon, Monday, October 21st. Bus 26 will NOT run tomorrow morning but will run in the afternoon, October 21st. We will update you about Tuesday as soon as possible.

The Panther Dash was enjoyed by our students today! Thank you PTO, families, and sponsors for an awesome fundraiser opportunity. All pledge money is due by October 29th. Health Fair forms are still being accepted. Tomorrow, October 18th, is a teacher workday and there is no school for students.

Tomorrow is the Panther Dash PTO fundraiser! Panther Dash is a fun, spirit-building event for all students which promotes health and fitness among our school community and helps raise funds needed to support the quality of our children’s education. All students participate by running, jogging or walking as many laps as possible around the course during their scheduled time. Laps completed are marked on each student’s card. Parents are welcome to come cheer on students. Grade levels will run at the following times. 8:15-9:00 4th Grade 9:15-10:00 1st Grade 10:30-11:15 Kindergarten 12:45-1:30 2nd Grade 1:45-2:30 3rd Grade Students need to wear tennis shoes for running. Thank you for your support!

East Franklin Panthers let's join Franklin High's spirit week and show our support to our surrounding conference schools affected by Hurricane Helene. For tomorrow's Spirit Day wear blue to support West Henderson and Smoky Mountain schools.

The East Franklin annual Panther Dash will not be held on Monday. We are working to reschedule it soon. The PTO family game night scheduled for October 8th is being rescheduled for later in the school year. The Parent Teacher Organization meeting will be held on October 15th at 5:30.

Macon County Schools will operate on a regular schedule beginning tomorrow, Thursday, October 3, 2024. As we navigate returning to school, accommodations and provisions will be made as needed to best support and serve our students and families now and in the days ahead.
