Handbook Summary #1
School attendance is crucial for learning. If your child is absent, please email or send a written note to excuse the absence. Notes will not be accepted after 5 days from the absence unless it is from a medical provider. Please review the list of lawfully excusable absences on page 4 of the handbook. Students must arrive by 11:10am or stay past 11:10am to be counted present for the day. Students are responsible for making up missed work. You will receive a letter, email, and call if your child accumulates excessive unexcused absences.Thank you for helping us build strong habits and keep learning on track!
With everyone's busy schedules, it is hard to keep up with all the important back to school information. This week, we will send short summaries of important information from our school handbook. You can review the full handbook in your child's planner, on our school website or request a printed copy from your child's teacher.
Good evening! We had an awesome first day filled with smiles, friends, and fun! We have learned that the Macon County Schools app requires an app update for you to receive new messages. Please open the app to see if it prompts you to update it to make sure you don't miss anything!

You can now view your child's teacher in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. You will click on a tab on the left that says "SCHEDULE" to view the teacher. If you have any problems with these directions, please call the school next week at 524-2845.

Pre-K families,
The bus parking lot will be closed tomorrow due to field day activities. Please use the car rider side parking area for drop off and pick up tomorrow, May 16th. Thank you!
Don't forget, tomorrow is FIELD DAY! All activities are outside, so wear sunscreen and bring extra. Bring a towel, bag for wet clothes and a change of clothes. Wear sandals, NO socks or tennis shoes because they will get wet and puncture inflatables. Come to school ready for some fun!
It is a big week for our students! Our 3rd and 4th grade students will complete their state End-of-Grade tests tomorrow and Wednesday. Thank you for making sure they are at school on time, well rested, and ready to do their best!

Tomorrow begins our celebration of Read Across America Week! Don't forget to dress like your favorite book character and come play learning games at Academic Night at 5:30pm. Tuesday- wear wacky socks, Wednesday- wear wacky clothes, Thursday- wear a college shirt, Friday- NO SCHOOL/Teacher Workday.
